Recommendations and Extra Info

Looking and reading through our Big Agnes Big House 6 Review it gives you an understanding of what this tent is all about. The tent is a great choice for a family that loves car camping. It is a long-lasting camping tent and will keep you from buying a new tent every camping season. The materials are top quality, high durability, and will prevent water from entering inside. It great against rainstorms, cold nights, and even light snowfalls.

Furthermore, the tent will do just fine in the warmer months of the year due to its great ability to stay ventilation. This keeps air circulating, bringing in fresh cooler air, and letting out warm musty air. When sleeping at night the ventilation system is perfect too. Some tents you get gross condensation build up, this sometimes causes the ceiling of your tent to become wet. Then you wake up with condensation water drops falling on you and your damp gross bed. Trust me, this is the last thing you want when sleeping in a tent. The Big Agnes Big House Tent stays dry and ventilated well.

Take a group of hiking friends into the wild with this tent as well. It will keep strong against some heavy winds from the mountains, or even wind off of the oceanfront. Just do not camp to close to the waterfront for your own safety.

The Big Agnes is a highly recommended choice from us here at Simple Tenting, it will stay strong when camping in the campground or even off in the wild.

Quality

We learned above that the tent is made of polyester. The rain-fly and the floor are made out of polyester with a 1500mm waterproof polyurethane coating. The tents body is made of polyester and polyester mesh, while all the seams are polyurethane taped. Just the materials used can prove the tent can withstand high amounts of rainwater.

The tent is constructed of 2 aluminum poles that criss-cross. Aluminum poles are one of the best tentpole options for camping tents. See Aluminum Vs Fiberglass Tent Poles article here. Though there are only 2 poles it stills keeps strong against wind, the tent stakes into the ground on all 4 corners. The stakes are of high quality and keep the tent hammered in tight. The one thing about only 2 poles is the low weight capacity of snow. This is why we ranked this tent a 3.5 season tent above.

The rain-fly is built tough, and super waterproof. Unlike most camping tents, this rain-fly stretches down towards the ground level. This makes rainwater runoff into the ground instead of the side of the tent. This prevents seams from cracking and ripping over a long period of time. In addition, the fly has a small awning that reaches out over the front door. This helps when it’s raining when entering or exiting, it keeps water from easily splashing in the camping tent.

Conclusion

Basically, you can’t go wrong with the Big Agnes Big House 6. It provides you with everything you could need in a camping tent. As mentioned before, it would be a perfect pick for the family, or for a group of outdoors friends planning an adventure. The tent has a large size, and it can easily fit 6 people. The height of the tent is tall, a place where most can stand up inside. With the available vestibule, this provides a humongous area to place gear, have an area for your dog, and much more. It creates an extra space for anything!
