My name is Mr. Jamie Penney and I love the outdoors. Camping is an activity I have been doing for years. I remember parts of my first family camping trip, we went to Prince Edwards Island in Canada and I was only 4 years old. We had a hard top camper, where you crank up and 2 beds popped out on each side. The reason this trip is so memorable at a young age is that it was a disaster. Firstly, the weather didn’t cooperate with us at all… We had rain, rain, and a little more rain. However, the weather is uncontrollable and you deal with issues similar when camping. Then all of a sudden my mom realized that I had the chicken pox…
Most of us had the chicken pox, and yes it is an annoying, itchy, blistering, super contagious infection. It can be considered severe, but most times it completely passes in children. Though dealing with the chicken pox in your actual home is much easier than camping it out in an unfamiliar location. My mom tells me how stressful that camping trip was, she had to make sure I was ok, and try and prevent me from scratching all day. It may not have been the best trip at the time, but I am sure my family will remember it forever.
Basically, this is how I started camping. Just because a trip doesn’t follow a schedule doesn’t make it un-adventurous. Memories are made from camping trips, especially the ones that flip upside down from what you expected. That is why I love camping and have a passion for every bit of it. I started tent camping a few years ago, and my girlfriend and I love it. She would say, “connecting with nature is like a natural therapy”, and I couldn’t agree more. To the most beautiful sunsets, all the way to the torrential rainfalls, I can’t get enough of it.
This website includes tips that I learned from camping experiences and from other campers as well. I also love camping products, just simple things that make camping more fun and enjoyable. I buy some products on the website and review them, and I also do lots of research online on other products.
